Job Description
Amazon Home Services is looking for a Senior Program Manager - Operations to drive standardization and continuous improvement in our Services fulfillment experience. You will define and build the process and technical roadmaps that drive continuous improvement in fulfillment quality and scalability. A successful candidate will be highly analytical, resourceful and Customer-focused. He or she will have a proven track record in taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.

Amazon Home Services is a marketplace for customers to purchase services from professionals such as assemblers, plumbers, electricians and handymen on . For example a Customer can get a piece of furniture purchased on Amazon assembled, or they can get their house cleaned, or have a new deck built. Customers get a vetted provider at a competitive price backed by our Happiness Guarantee. Professionals get more jobs for less work not having to market or pre-sell to customers.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for independent, creative problem-solving, have proven data analysis skills, and show strong ownership/commitment. Customer obsession is a must.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of process improvement / operational excellence experience, manufacturing engineering experience, or similar - ideally in an fast paced online environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in engineering or math
  • Black Belt Six Sigma or similar experience / certification
  • Expereince in the On-Demand economy
  • Proficiency with SQL
  • Passionate about understanding customers and their behavior in order to drive new feature development
  • Experience working in an inter-disciplinary design environment
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives
  • Strong quantitative data analysis and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work with technical and non-technical business owners to get things done.
  • Experience developing functional requirements to create new tools or refine existing ones, with a focus on transaction automation.
  • Ability to construct data-driven analyses and recommendations for new problem spaces.
  • Ability to develop business cases with policy and/or implementation recommendations to handle new use cases, including scaling with software
