Salary Grade: Intern

Time Frame: Summer 2018, Possibility to Extend

Responsibilities:

• Under the direction of the Claims Manager, the Claims Intern will be responsible for reviewing and decision making of GAP (Guaranteed Asset Protection) Claims
• Perform a variety of administrative tasks which support the overall claim adjudication process
• Communicate with customer and/or representative, providing information, options and taking the necessary action as needed
• Gather and organize data for reports/projects
• Compose correspondence, emails
• Prepare written reports/projects
• Resolves problems and/or issues
• Attend and participate in meetings

Requirements:

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree, Associate's Degree or Technical Diploma in insurance, business, or another related field
• Availability to work full time during the summer
• Strong customer orientation and excellent communication skills; verbal, written, and interpersonal
• Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently
• Proficiency with Windows, MS Office, and web applications
