The Tax Intern will provide administrative and analytical support to the Tax team within our Headquarters Accounting group. The Tax Intern is a key member of the success of this team. This individual will:

• Assist with data management for the purposes of calculating use tax
• Assist with preparation of sales/excise and use tax returns on a monthly basis
• Assist with information requests for sales, use, and income tax audits
• Gain an understanding of the tax research process to assist in researching sales and use tax issues as needed
• Assist with financial reporting-related projects as needed and other miscellaneous tasks as assigned

Basic:

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate, four-year degree in Accounting (must be currently enrolled) with intent to pursue CPA
• Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Microsoft Excel
• Completion of one Taxation course by start of internship

Preferred:

• A minimum GPA of 3.3 / 4.0
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task
• Superior customer service and effective communication skills
• Tenacious problem-solving skills
• Reliable transportation

Additional Information: This internship is based in Minneapolis, MN and will be full-time during the summer 2018.
