Allina Health Pharmacy provides fast, efficient services at 15 sites throughout the Twin Cities metro and greater Minnesota communities. Pharmacy team members have expertise in many acute and chronic medication needs, including organ transplant, diabetes, infertility, pediatrics, oncology and the management of multiple medications. Online and mail order prescription services are also provided.

• Prepare, check and dispense medications and supplies
• Compound extemporaneous products including packaging of medications in unit dose or unit of use packaging
• Follows USP 797 requirements in preparing IV admixtures, IVIG, antibiotic piggybacks, syringes and other aseptically prepared products
• Deliver medications and supplies to patient care areas
• Perform monthly station checks, medication room outdate checks and organization
• Check and restock nursing unit crash carts
• Answer and/or appropriately triage incoming phone calls to various areas of the pharmacy department or pharmacists using proper phone etiquette
• Assist in inventory control

• Enrolled in an accredited School of Pharmacy working toward a Pharm.D. in Pharmacy degree

Experience

Pre-employment Drug Screen:

• This role requires that all external and internal applicants successfully pass a drug test before beginning work. A positive test result and/or refusal to submit to testing will result in disqualification of further employment consideration.

• During the school year, one evening a week and an every other weekend rotation exists at ANW Heart Hospital pharmacy with additional casual shifts available.
• During the summer, opportunities may be available at ANW Heart or Piper Pharmacies as well as other Allina Health Pharmacies.
