Manager, Enterprise Payment Operations
Commercial Operations (CML Ops) is one of the largest divisions in the Commercial Bank, this team's scope is horizontal across the bank and as such it supports numerous critical processes and transactions. By incubating innovative solutions and embracing technology, this team creates an unforgettable and unparalleled experience for our associates and clients. One of the most impactful groups in the CML Ops team is the Enterprise Payments and Treasury Operations (EPTO) team.
The EP team manages all of the inbound and outbound payments for the Enterprise. Our work can range processing Wires to ACH to disbursements as well as transactions for our clients treasury products. The team is currently growing and searching for a manager within ACH operations.
As a People Manager within the Commercial Bank's Payment Operations organization, you will be responsible for the daily leadership and oversight of the ACH QA team, manage projects and the well managed agenda . This team supports QA of ACH transactions for various LOB's across Capital One Financial. You will focus on driving the achievement of individual, team and business metric goals. In addition, you will be responsible for proactive collaboration and partnership with key business stakeholders. In this role you will have the opportunity to develop strategies in a fast-paced environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for management of 4-6 associates at our Melville and Richmond locations
Works with partner groups within the ACH value stream to drive process change and problem solve complex issues
Analyzes and evaluates operational procedures, recommends and implements modifications to improve quality and efficiency
Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment where priorities may shift immediately
Actively develop, manage and coach direct reports on a daily basis
Recommends process improvements with the team and department and may represent product or process area on projects of a cross-functional/cross location scale
Acts to ensure all service levels are met/exceeded
Manages department's audit remediation efforts including establishing controls and securing approvals
Assists operations in executing department's business continuity tasks during Disaster Recovery
Performs periodic self-audits to ensure compliance with internal and external procedures/regulatory requirements
Manage projects across the team
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or Military Experience
At least 1 years of experience in Banking Operations
At least 1 year of process management experience
At least 1 year of project management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
At least 1 year of people management experience
At least 3 years of experience in Banking Operations
At least 2 years of budget management experience
At least 1 year experience with LEAN
At least 1 year experience with Six Sigma management methodology
