Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  • Adheres to Integer Core Value and all safety, environmental, security and quality requirements including, but not limited to: Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety, Environmental and Security Management Systems, U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, company policies and operating procedures, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Oversees all accounts payable activities and drives strategy for streamlining and measuring the team's performance, focused on best-in-class levels
  • Continuously improve metrics and evaluate technology to optimize operations
  • Drives required changes to move away from manual to automated processes, including the associated training and organizational changes
  • Consult with Talent Partners and Senior business leaders on inclusion strategies to enable business performance
  • Leads the team into a highly scaled global shared service model (centers of excellence)
  • Lead and coordinate accurate and efficient processing of invoices and related disbursements
  • Oversee the corporate credit card programs inclusive of purchase cards and travel related spending
  • Oversee the monthly AP close process in collaboration with the GL team, including internal/external audit support
  • Ensure accounts payable activities are in compliance with internal policies/controls and best practices by regular review and revision, as necessary
  • Oversee and maintain effective internal controls and continuously enhance the control environment inclusive of fraud and segregation of duties controls. Staying current on evolving fraud prevention techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with regional regulatory requirements, including 1099 tax reporting and support of the escheatment process
  • Coach team members to develop their skillsets towards career goals
  • Manages all activities related to integrating accounts payable of acquired businesses, ensuring proper cut over and internal controls around the conversion and onboarding
  • Oversees system implementations/upgrades for all systems as related to accounts payable
  • Perform other duties as required

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance / Accounting, or related discipline.
  • Minimum Experience: 10+ years of experience in accounts payable, with specific experience in a global, multi-national, publicly traded company. Previous management experience required.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Team development, mentoring and motivational skills
  • Strategic planning and establishing vision; problem solving to remove barriers
  • Experience transforming an accounts payable function to maximize automation, scalability and cost effectiveness
  • Strong project management experience and drive to streamline processes at scale
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional business partners, internal/external stakeholders
  • Direct and clear written and verbal communicator
  • Strong attention to detail with high level of accuracy
  • Capacity to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience and advanced level of proficiency using Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Oracle and Jaggaer platforms is a plus
  • Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Certified Payments Professional preferred
