THE ROLE:
Our NTSG - Network Technology Solutions Group is looking for an experienced Network Consulting Systems Engineer to help sell our products and solutions to Cloud and Service Provider customers in the Silicon Valley area. This individual will act as the main resource leading the technical engagement with prospective customers, guiding them through NTSG product advantages and unique capabilities, identifying applicable use cases, helping to architect solutions addressing customer's needs, assisting the customers through IP/SDK integration and qualification phases towards successful release to production of their final product/system.
THE PERSON:
The preferred candidate should have proven experience in one or more of the following technical areas:
- Network architectural design and troubleshooting, particularly in large scale datacenter/cloud environments
- Software Defined Networking (SDN) with VxLAN/EBGP
- Leaf-spine DC fabric
- API integration Cloud orchestration (gRPC or Openconfig/gNMI)
- Telemetry
- Virtual Networking
- SmartNIC/SR-IOV/hypervisor/Virtio
- OVS and DPDK
- P4 language and PSA (P4 Switch Architecture) or PNA (P4 Portable NIC Architecture)
- Linux OS hand-on and troubleshooting
- RDMA and Congestion Management
- Network Function Virtualization (NFV)
- Storage Networking including NVMe-over-Fabrics
- Network Security, Firewalls, micro-segmentation
- Solution Architect Certification with AWS/Azure/GCP is preferred
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be the technical focal point for assigned customers covering all aspects of NTSG products
- Facilitate new and existing customer engagements to help secure new design wins for NTSG
- Act as the technical expert to address customer requirements and solve technical challenges
- Participate in building NTSG product roadmap by providing the customer requirements to engineering and marketing teams
- Manage the relationships and ensure technical deliverables with customers' technical teams
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- 10+ years of experience in HW/SW development, Technical Marketing, System, Field or Application Engineering roles, at least 5 years of which is in customer facing role supporting Cloud customers, Tier 1 enterprise customers, Server, Storage or Networking OEM customers.
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of networking protocols, including layers 2, 3 and 4
- Knowledge of RDMA
- Solid knowledge of Linux/Unix,
- Self-motivated. Dedicated.
- Fluency in English
- 25% travel (Bay Area)
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar field from an accredited university or college.
