Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Finance and Operations, the incumbent will operate with a high degree of autonomy, collaborating closely with various departments to uphold, streamline, and enhance Standard Business Processes aligned with University and government directives. The role encompasses overseeing the day-to-day management of payment processing, procurement activities, and journal entries within ARC (Accounting and Reporting at Columbia), the university's financial records system.
Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, and 1-2 years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated capability in processing, analyzing, and interpreting financial data, coupled with outstanding communication skills and a proactive work ethic.
Preferred familiarity with accounting principles, Microsoft Office Software, project management, and grant budget management.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of working independently or as part of a team in high-volume environments.
Experience in project administration and planning, exhibiting discretion, good judgment, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Proficiency in accurately reviewing and completing detail-oriented tasks and projects, with a penchant for adaptability and versatility.
