Position Summary
Prepare stock for the sales floor. Assist with Receiving. Assist in the processing of web orders; including pulling merchandise and packing merchandise for shipment to customers. Verify prices, SKUs, and ISBNs in the computer system. Allocate space for new merchandise. Assist in merchandising and visual display of merchandise on the floor. Maintain displays and seasonal sections. Assist customers in locating, purchasing, or ordering merchandise. Process sales at the cash register. Coordinate daily sales floor/stock room operations within guidelines (e.g., assist with training and review work of student and temporary employees.
Qualifications
Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Experience: 1+ years retail experience
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent interpersonal skills. Familiarity with database and online tracking systems; ability to work comfortably with the public.
Additional Information
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rate for this position is USD $32.972. This rate is based on bargaining unit contracts. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
