Dr. Marcus Nashelsky is a forensic pathologist and Professor of Pathology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics (UIHC), which is the clinical arm of the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. He is director of the autopsy service at the UIHC. He is also the Medical Examiner of Johnson County, Iowa and an Assistant Iowa State Medical Examiner. Dr. Nashelsky has a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Wyoming and a Medical Degree from the University of Nebraska. His general pathology residency training was at the University of Missouri-Columbia and his forensic pathology fellowship was at the University of New Mexico. He has worked at Iowa for 11.5 years, and previously worked as a forensic pathologist and medical examiner in New Mexico, Kansas and Michigan.
