General Summary of the Purpose of the Position

The position is responsible for helping to support Systems Engineering and Product Development projects, activities and tasks.

What you will be doing

* Assist Systems Engineers and Technicians with verification activities

o Create and execute system test cases as necessary and / or as delegated by Systems Engineering personnel

o Execute Desktop, Hardware, Mobile(iOS and Android), and Cloud Tests

* Assist Systems Engineers and Technicians with projects and tasks as needed

o Become familiar with standard engineering measurement equipment with the aid of Starkey technicians or engineers

o Perform tasks which the intern is capable of performing

o Perform assignments given by mentor, engineer or manager

* Modify and create software and hardware for the Automated Hearing Aid Test System (AHATS)

o Modify existing AHATS software as directed by mentor

o Create new AHATS functionality as directed by mentor

o Enhance the AHATS as necessary

* Status updates and presentations

* Participation in process and design reviews

* Support Starkey Employee Corporate and/or Department Guidelines

* Check and verify quality

What you will need:

* Enrolled in a Computer Science, Compuert Engineering or Electrical Engineering program at an accredited college or university.

* Experience level: completion of at least sophomore year in college

* Prefer experience with electrical measurements and instrumentation control

* Person with exploratory mindset and easily coachable. Work with minimal supervision
* Good technical writing skills required

* Excellent attention to detail required
