Job Description SummaryThe Director, Cyber Security provides leadership and strategic direction to a team of professionals responsible for enterprise-wide cyber security practices and controls within a financial services environment.Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Direct Information Risk, including third party cyber risk; Identity & Access Management.
  • Develop and drive adoption of best practice security processes for these areas.
  • Develop methodologies and processes to Identify, assess, prioritize, and remediate cyber security risks within applications, systems and data stores; and within third party organizations and/or supply chains.
  • Evaluate cyber security threats, risks, vulnerabilities, and processes to determine relative risk to the product, system, and organization.
  • Apply knowledge of controls, threats, vulnerabilities, risk and technical systems to build strategic planning and roadmaps to harden systems and close vulnerabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in cyber security, information risk management, or relevant IT field or equivalent experience
  • Seven years of cyber security leadership experience
  • Experience working in a large and complex organization, preferably on a global scale
  • Experience leading Information Risk, Third Party Cyber Risk, Identity and Access Management
  • Leadership experience with three or more of the following cyber security domain areas: identity and access management, GRC tools, Information risk assessments, network zoning and segmentation, multi-factor authentication, privileged access management, entitlement reviews, active and/or virtual identity directories, SOC 2 audits
  • Information security controls experience with COBIT, NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-53, FISMA or ISO 27001 or other applicable control frameworks
  • Experience leading group discussions and presenting to varying levels and audiences
  • Ability to define and communicate complex technical risk problems, concepts and situations to multiple skill levels
  • Ability to build multi-disciplined teams, and expand team capabilities and outcomes
  • Ability to assess work effort required and delegate critical tasks/deliverables
  • Proficiency using MS Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

  • CISSP, CISM, CRISC or CISA certifications
  • Experience with Sailpoint, Okta or other Identity tools
  • Experience with TPAM, CyberArk or other privileged access management tools
  • Experience in insurance, payments, banking, or other financial industries
  • Proficiency in GRC systems (e.g. Archer, RiskVision, ServiceNow or RSAM)
  • Knowledge of Transamerica/Aegon products, systems, and domains
