Position Summary:

The position of Finance Analyst, Local P&L, COGS & Cash is a critical role in Pernod Ricard USA organization. As part of the team supporting the organization on all financial topics related to the actual P&L and link with cash drivers and impacts. Key objective is to support the Senior Finance Manager External Reporting in providing the data, high-level analytics and insights, and tools and processes needed for the organization to understand all P&L and Cash interactions and movements on a monthly basis as well as estimate and budget update

Major Responsibilities:

  • Local P&L and COGS:
    • Ensure COGS data reliability for planning process (S/T and transfer prices)
    • Build reports to be shared on a monthly basis to help monitor COGS risks and opportunities with end goal being to improve and find efficiencies in COGS and inventories
    • Manage relationship with Operation and Accounting team to ensure ongoing tracking, planning and risk monitoring of COGS and distribution costs
    • Assist in setting-up and consolidating PR NA Region, comments and other deliverables related to COGS and cash related subjects (e.g. inventories)
  • Cash Flow:
    • On-time, accurate and insightful quarterly review and comments on PR USA cash submission
    • Assist in tracking quarterly and full year P&L landing vs. target
    • Consolidate PR NA cashflow for North America Region
    • Key Cash Drivers submissions
    • Build estimates and budget and report them into the group reporting tool per group deadlines, requiring collaboration with operations and accounting teams as well as close interactions with Brand Companies
  • Other:
    • Assist Reporting Team on ah-hoc basis as needed

Requirements:

  • Experience / Background:
    • Minimum 1+ years in a financial or business analysis role
    • Familiarity with basic financial topics including the Profit & Loss statement
  • Skills:
    • Highly analytical, with high attention to detail and ability to connect the details to the big picture
    • Good listener, able to understand the key requirements of stakeholders and communicate key learnings back to manager;
    • Ability to deliver on numerous work streams simultaneously to tight timelines;
    • Strong communication skills;
    • Highly competent with Excel, data analysis and modeling;
    • Team player, willing to do what's needed to meet key deliverables on-time and to a high degree of accuracy;
    • Demonstrated ability to extract insights from data

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • Estimated Travel: Limited - position is office based. 1 weeks per year as needed for seminars or company events
