Position Summary 

 

The Employee Health Screening Coordinator will coordinate and oversee the daily operations of the Employee Health COVID Screening Center as well as supervise screening center staff.  



Duties of a Employee Health Screening Coordinator include but are not limited to the following:  

  • Interviews candidates for positions in the Screening Center and makes sound and appropriate hiring recommendations.
  • Develops staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage during all hours of operations.
  • Trains staff on their roles and responsibilities and ensures staff perform duties and responsibilities in accordance with performance programs and established health and safety protocols. 
  • Ensures the Screening Center runs smoothly and efficiently and that all health and safety protocols are adhered to fully.
  • Orders all supplies needed to conduct testing. Routinely checks inventory and replenishes supplies in a timely manner.  
  • Reviews and approves staff timesheets.
  • Coordinates all daily operations of the employee registration process, specimen collection process and specimen shipping/delivery process. 
  • Ensures all operations are conducted in accordance with policies, procedures and all health and safety protocols.
  • Produces correspondence, data analysis and reports as needed.
  • Trouble shoots problems and recommends sound and appropriate solutions.
  • Ensures that all employees receive a high level of service and support and ensures the privacy and comfort of employees.
  • Performs other administrative and/or supervisory tasks as needed to support COVID testing and/or to support Employee Health and Wellness. 

   


Qualifications

 Required:  

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 3 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant or Office Assistant.
  • Must be proficient in Outlook, Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Familiarity with basic use of mobile devices/smart phones
  • Must be extremely reliable, dependable and possess strong organizational skills


Preferred:

  • Prior supervisory experience
  • Prior reception or office experience

Prior to start date, the selected candidate must meet the following requirements:

  • Successfully complete pre-employment physical examination and obtain medical clearance from Stony Brook Medicine's Employee Health Services*
  • Complete electronic reference check with a minimum of three (3) professional references.
  • Successfully complete a 5 panel drug screen*
  • Successfully complete a Background Check investigation.
  • Provide a copy of any required New York State license(s)/certificate(s).

Failure to comply with any of the above requirements could result in a delayed start date and/or revocation of the employment offer.
 
*The hiring department will be responsible for any fee incurred for examination.
