This is an opportunity for an experienced finance professional with a background in accounting and financial reporting to assume a key financial role in a best-in-class organization 60+ years in existence.
As Senior Accountant with Savills, you will provide key financial information to management and play an important role in financial statement preparation. This position reports to the Assistant Controller.
Main Responsibilities: Assist Financial Reporting Team prepare the Company’s monthly consolidated financial statements
Maintain fixed asset records including accurate preparation of book and tax depreciation schedules in accordance with Company policy
Maintain lease records in compliance with ASC 842 and IFRS 16
Analyze transaction documents for proper revenue recognition and timely processing in our systems
Foreign currency translation of Canadian financials to US dollars
Assist with projects assigned to the Financial Reporting Team by our parent company
Interact with other Finance teams including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Tax and Treasury and management at our field offices
Interact with external auditors including responding to requests and questions and preparing necessary workpapers
Assist with the implementation of new ERP technologies
Other ad hoc projects as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting (CPA a plus)
3-5 years of accounting and financial reporting experience (CPA firm experience a plus)
Must have strong background with US GAAP
Intermediate to Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel
Ability to multi-task, organize efficiently and meet strict reporting deadlines
Analytical, problem-solving, professional skeptic mindset
Solid verbal and written skills
