Upstate Companies is looking for a Civil Construction Estimator for the Site Construction Division (Civil).  Pay will be competitive based on experience. Upstate offers  401k with employer match, Health Benefits, and Aflac.

• 3+ years of experience preferred
• Ability to work with various subcontractors and suppliers. 
• Ability to work with a variety of personalities
• Communicates well
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Project, Excel, Adobe, and take of software. Bluebeam Preferred. 
• Acquire understanding of the requirements of the project/program at hand
• Select metrics to produce valid estimates
• Visit sites, make notes of all details and to gather essential information
• Review Construction documents (Plans and specifications) or consult experts to collect all necessary data
• Study drawings, read and review all requirements, Analyze data and produce forecasts
• Perform risk analysis
• Prepare detailed estimate reports or bids for submission to appropriate parties
• prepare all bid forms and work with bonding
• Proven experience as construction estimator
• Basic understanding of accounting and project management concepts
• Deep understanding of research methodology, data analysis and estimation metrics, reading drawings, a sharp eyesight to review project specifications quickly
• Comfortable with numbers and technology
• Great attention to detail
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
• Well-organized and reliable
