The Opportunity

As the company continues to grow we are seeking a Global Planning Manager, Transfusion Medicine. The Global Planning Manager who will be responsible for all tactical planning, network fulfillment, inventory management, and related activities for Transfusion Medicine business unit. The Global Planning Manager will oversee the coordination of the S&OP process with the Regional SC teams including forecast roll up to planning, inventory management, allocation and distribution of products, and scrap management through the network. This position will lead the S&OP process and set the strategy and execute upon global inventory optimization and customer service excellence while limiting backorders and FG scrap through global inventory management, using planning systems to drive efficiency and effectiveness in the planning process.

This position can be in Rochester, NY Raritan, NJ or San Diego, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Manage S&OP, planning, and inventory control processes for the hub distribution centers.

  • Optimize inventory levels to meet customer service, business continuity, and cost objectives throughout the distribution network linking suppliers, customers, distributors, and warehouses.

  • Coordinates product availability, issue management and resolution, working with all appropriate functional areas of the company on mitigation tactics.

  • Monitor capacity planning at the warehouses, logistics providers, internal manufacturing facilities and contract vendors.

  • Participates in the development and execution of long-term strategic plans within Supply Chain, supporting other functions and the business at large

  • Serves as the primary communication point between SCM and other functions for products in the Value Stream.

  • Develop standard operating procedures, process maps, and cycle times and assist in cycle time optimization to increase inventory velocity.

The Individual

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related discipline or equivalent experience required; Master's degree preferred.

  • 7+ years of supply chain experience, preferably working within the Life Sciences industry.

  • Working knowledge of MS Office Power Platform (BI, Apps, Automate), SQL, Power BI, and business analytics software.

  • Additional analytics education, training and/or certification through online courses and/or professional organizations preferred.
