What you will do:

  • Join our team of board-certified anesthesiologists and LVTs in our world-renowned teaching hospital.
  • Focus on providing optimal anesthesia care to our comprehensive patient population, including emergency, specialty and general practice.
  • Shape the future of veterinary care through collaboration and instruction of our diverse DVM students.
  • Work in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
  • Collaborate and cross-train with additional specialty services to ensure leading edge patient care.
  • The Cornell University Hospital for Animals provides 24-hour care for pets 365 days of the year.
  • This position is mostly days and evenings.
  • We have staggered 8 hr shifts that cover 7:30am to 7pm or later if cases are still going.
  • M-F with on-call shifts on the weekends.
  • Currently, we schedule about 1 weekend every 10 weeks.
  • For the first 3-6 months, you'd work 8:30am to 5pm. Then you may shift to a 9:30am to 6pm or 10:30am to 7pm position or alternate between shifts.
  • Generous holiday and shift differential pay for night shifts.

What are the qualifications?

  • Associates degree in Veterinary Technology.
  • 1 - 3 years of experience.
  • New York State licensure or eligibility to become licensed in NYS.
  • Interest in on-going career growth and advanced skill development.
