Job Summary

We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our TYLin | Silman Structural Solutions Team.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Act as liaison to Clients and Project Managers.

  • Create and maintain client relationships.

  • Assist with business development and work to promote TYLin's growth and brand recognition.

  • Maintain involvement in professional organizations to keep abreast of new industry developments.

  • Structural design and analysis for a wide range of buildings projects, involving steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and archaic building systems.

  • Assist in the preparation of drawings and specifications from concept design through advanced technical design to develop cost-effective structural solutions.

  • Conduct site investigations to document existing conditions.

  • Prepare engineering reports.

  • Work closely with other engineering and architectural disciplines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil (structural engineering coursework focus) or Structural Engineering is required.

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics or Business Administration would be considered a significant asset.

  • A New York State PE license would be considered an asset.

  • Proficiency with computer analysis software (e.g. ETABS, RISA, RAM, SAP, etc.).

  • Working knowledge of REVIT would be considered an asset.

  • Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions.

  • Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients' toughest challenges.

  • High level of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.

  • Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together towards technical excellence.


Additional Information

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $72,500 - $108,700 annually for this position and local market.
