Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Nutrition Program Delivery Driver is responsible for providing meal delivery services to Seniors participating in the Office for the Aging’s Nutrition Program,.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
* Pick up meals from assigned location and deliver to individual homes on assigned route in accordance with program procedures.
* Report any non-emergency concerns to Program Coordinator at the end of the shift.
* Follow written emergency procedures when encountering emergencies during meal delivery.
* Maintain documentation of delivery, services and concerns. Complete and submit to Program coordinators required documentation in a daily and accurate manner.
* Document meal temperatures in accordance with regulations and submit documentation to Program Coordinators.
* On a daily basis collect and secure monetary donations from meal recipients in accordance with program procedures and submit donations to Program Coordinators.
* Maintain the cleanliness and organization of company vehicles, report all issues immediately to program coordinators.
* Conduct daily inspections of company vehicles record on inspection logs. Record mileage beginning and ends of shifts.

Health, Safety, & Compliance
* Maintain a work environment in a clean, organized, and safe manner. Conduct daily inspections of work areas to look for unsafe conditions
* Ensure all accidents are reported to supervisor and Human Resources.
* Use all required safety devices and personal protective equipment.

Agency Standards
* Demonstrate positive work attitudes and habits.
* Maintain a clean and neat appearance consistent with agency standards and act as a role model. Display Gateway ID at all times.
* Attend all required meetings and trainings
* Participate in training programs for professional growth as scheduled and approved
* Responsible for understanding and adhering to Gateway Hudson Valley's Corporate Compliance Policy and Standards of Conduct as well as all applicable program rules, regulations and policies. Keep abreast of any changes or modifications to policies or regulations. Ensure that all staff are knowledgeable of applicable regulations, laws, and policies
* Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education:
* High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience:
* 1 year of experience in food service or related field

REGULATORY CLEARANCES REQUIRED:
* Must have a favorable result from all state, federal, and agency mandated background checks
o Criminal Background Check
o Must have a valid NYS Driver's License and maintain a driving record which meets the insurable criteria of the Agency's automobile insurance carrier.
