Position Summary: This position will pack or package by hand a wide variety of products and materials produced by or for Mackenzie-Childs.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follow company packing procedures and standards
• Handle inventory with care and attention to detail
• Adhere to safety programs and OSHA compliance for a safe work environment
• Follow company safety policies and procedures, and encourage other associates to do the same
• Ensure product orders are packed and moved carefully
• Move completed packages for loading.

(Additional duties may be assigned)

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED

Special Requirements:

• Occasional weekend work as required to meet business needs.
• Work out of Aurora or Union Springs locations to support business needs
• Operate Fork lift or Tow lift
• Transport product between Mackenzie-Childs locations, if possible

• Basic shop skills, such as using hand tools.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, dynamic and changing environment with a focus on meeting deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret paperwork.
• Maintain consistent, dependable attendance

Physical and Mental Requirements:

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, reach, push, pull, crouch, kneel, bend, climb, use fingers to grasp, handle, feel, and perform repetitive motions of hands or wrists.

• Exerts up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to move objects.

• Light mental and visual attention required for performing work where there is some variety but actions taken and decisions made are limited to few possibilities. Work requires some coordination with others.

Environmental Conditions:
Work is performed in a warehouse environment with exposure to temperature changes and noise.
