Description

Position Summary:

A Major Accounts Associate is responsible for executing daily operational tasks within their designated area(s) of responsibility, as it relates to the fulfillment of sales orders for the company’s national retail accounts.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)

* Process order fulfillment tasks in the pick, pack or ship areas of responsibility (AOR)

* Complete assignments and maintain daily workflows in the AOR

* Move of merchandise and materials through the AOR

* Learn and maintain internal process requirements and client compliance standards in each phase of the fulfillment cycle

* Utilize computers, mobile devices and manual means to record, document and report order fulfillment data

* Maintain, track and report department equipment and material volumes

* Maintain compliance to company policies, safety standards and workplace etiquette

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

* High school diploma or GED

* Previous experience in the retail, e-commerce, distribution or related field is preferred

Special Requirements:

* Ability to work overtime on a regular basis and occasionally on weekends

* Ability to work in an open, warehouse environment

* Ability to handle and process large and complex workloads

* Ability to perform under deadline constraints

* Flexibility and adaptability to respond to variable workloads and priorities

* Ability to maintain productivity under general to limited supervision

* Ability to read, sort and record large volumes of data, descriptions and symbols

* Detail-oriented, able to maintain accuracy at speed and amid distraction

* Intermediate computing skills to include the use of spreadsheets and e-mail

* Have an interest in continuously improving standards, processes and protocols

* Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members for success

* Ability to conduct oneself with professionalism and a helpful demeanor

* Ability to maintain composure in the face of challenges

* Ability to maintain an organized and tidy work area

* Possess good penmanship

* Ability to maintain consistent, dependable attendance

Equipment Used:

* Computer, mobile devices, printer, telephone, photocopier, fax machine, scanner, calculator

* Computer Software: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Internet Browsers

* Various hand and power tools, pallet jack

* Safety Equipment: Safety shoes

Physical and Mental Requirements:

* Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, perform repetitive hand motions, use hands to finger, grasp, handle, or feel; push and/or pull with arms and reach with arms and/or hands; crouch, kneel, crawl or bend;

* climb/balance

* Exerts in excess of 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects

* Close mental and visual attention required to perform work dealing primarily with preparing and interpreting data and figures, using a computer terminal, and/or extensive reading

Environmental Conditions:

Work is performed in a typical warehouse with exposure to temperature changes, noise, potential for physical injury.
