Summary/Objective:

The Lippert Corporate Aftermarket team is hiring a Strategic Sourcing Analyst for the marine industry to add to their team to assist in international vendor and materials sourcing. This position is remote, reporting into Lippert's Corporate Headquarters located in Elkhart, Indiana

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Works directly with cross-functional teams leading collaboration and adoption of Lippert Vendor Compliance standards.
  2. Collaborate with Product Development and Purchasing to drive the process in adding new Lippert products into the database
  3. Oversees daily commodity activities and purchasing.
  4. Maintain sales tracker for Aftermarket Product Development; report out to all involved weekly
  5. Responsible for all sample status tracking; coordination with product team for efficient evaluation. Timely communication to vendor base with feedback.
  6. Manage the vendor's quality and on-time delivery
  7. Tracks and reports to management sourcing cost savings
  8. Assists in all functions of Product Development and Sourcing for the Lippert Aftermarket division
  9. Understands product applications and their respective quality requirements
  10. Pays attention to detail and can communicate clearly, precisely, and effectively

Working Conditions:

  1. Primarily working indoors, office environment.
  2. May sit for several hours at a time.
  3. Prolonged exposure to computer screens.
  4. Repetitive use of hands to operate computers, printers, and copiers.

Qualifications:

  1. BS is recommended but not required. Historical working career background will be considered.
  2. Product Development, Retail and or Merchandising background a plus
  3. Marine products/ industry background is required.
  4. Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft based software utilities.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This role does not have any supervisor responsibilities upon hiring.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position may require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping.

Clerical- Operates office machines, such as photocopiers and scanners, facsimile machines, voice mail systems and personal computers. Answer telephones, direct calls and take messages. Communicates with management, Team Members, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate, or explain information and take instructions. Maintain electronic and hard copy filing system. Prepare and modify documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos, and emails.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position, and the expected work hours are 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday; weekend and overnight may also be necessary.

This position starting pay is $60,000 and salary range is $60,000 to $80,000

Travel:

Travel independently, domestically as well as globally up to 10% of time.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  1. College Degree (Associates or Bachelors)
  2. Buying or sales experience
  3. Demonstrated relationship building with key internal teams

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

1. International Private Label Product Development experience is preferred

Work Authorization/Security Clearance:

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
