The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Position Summary
The Taub Institute, Arancio lab, is looking for a 1 year temporary full time position as a Technician B.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the mouse colony, perform genotyping, behavioral tasks on animals, and immunocytochemistry and biochemical experiments according to written laboratory protocols.
- Keep records of these activities in lab notebooks in an orderly manner.
- Participate to weekly lab meetings.
- Perform assignments requiring technical skills.
- The Technician B will be supervised by researchers, and PI.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology or physics or a completed animal husbandry program or equivalent in education, training and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of related experience, or equivalent in education, training and/or experience.
- Knowledge of various related laboratory procedures and techniques preferred.
