Business Rationale:

The ICG Recovery and Resolution Planning (RRP) Group requires a Head of ICG Derivatives, Collateral and Recovery Actions to contribute to global resolution and recovery planning efforts. The candidate will be responsible for understanding regulatory RRP requirements, assessing the impact to ICG, and delivering materials to support the firmwide planning efforts.

The candidate will lead the execution of models and narratives that are part of Citi's recovery and resolution plans.

This role will also be responsible for understanding the economic results of the models and developing presentations articulating the results to senior management and stakeholders. The candidate will also be responsible for leading a team to document and formalize procedures and a control framework supporting the prepared materials.

Job Description:

The candidate will lead a series of quantitative research exercises designed to assess the impact to the ICG businesses in relation to planning exercises. The candidate will be responsible for executing the models leveraged by the firm to assess the economic impact of actions taken in a resolution scenario, specifically as it pertains to Citi's overall derivative portfolio. The candidate will document and formalize the procedures, control framework, & management of the models. The candidate will present results of such exercises to senior management.

The candidate will also partner with internal teams and subject matter experts to drive the production of resolution and recovery plans. The candidate will be responsible for knowing and understanding any new regulatory requirements relating to ICG's RRP efforts. The candidate will be responsible for managing requirements for local submissions, coordinating delivery of local plans, ensuring content is accurate and complete, driving towards common infrastructure and templates where possible and aligning with principles that have been established by the central RRP effort.

Job Requirements:

The candidate will have experience with recovery and resolution planning. The candidate will have a strong and comprehensive understanding of the regulatory requirements that large, complex banking organizations are subject to. The candidate will have a detailed understanding of derivative and trading activity and a broad understanding of financial instruments transacted with institutional clients. The candidate will have project management experience and will be skilled at working across multiple jurisdictions. Functional knowledge of balance sheet, income statement, and RWA financial forecasting is a plus. The role will involve significant engagement with a cross-functional set of senior managers and businesses across the ICG.

The candidate will have experience working large datasets; will be experienced with MS Excel. Projects to be executed by the candidate include application of complex models supporting the derivative solvent wind-down and ICG recovery actions.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years professional experience required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or MIS preferred
  • MBA a plus
  • Project/Program management skills
  • Advance degrees and/or CPA a plus
  • Knowledge of derivative and secured financing transactions a strong plus
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint required
  • Expertise in Business Intelligence Reporting Tools a strong plus
  • Very strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication, and analytical skills required
  • Problem solver who can develop creative, strategic solutions to challenging issues
  • Prior experience managing team is a plus
