We are currently seeking an Intermediate Structural Engineer to join our Power & Manufacturing - Advanced Energy/Advanced Manufacturing Team at our office in either St. Catharines, ON; Rochester, NY; Syracuse, NY; Colonie, NY; or Parsippany, NJ.

The Intermediate Structural Engineer conducts the design development, implementation, and technical analysis of technical various systems to implement new products, or changes to an existing scheme, to suit individual client needs.

The individual in this role works on multiple projects in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet client, contractual and company requirements. The Intermediate Structural Engineer monitors progress and performance against the project plan and acts immediately to resolve operational problems and minimize delays, as well as recognizes technical discrepancies in analytical results, and makes appropriate corrections. Additionallu, this professional identifies, develops, and gathers technical resources necessary to complete assignments.

REQUIREMENTS
    Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering required
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of related engineering experience required
  • Experience with design of steel, concrete, masonry, wood structures required
  • Experience with specific industries - industrial, power, manufacturing sectors preferred
  • Demonstrates a strong working knowledge of the respective engineering field as well as proven ability to practically apply it in a professional environment
  • Proficient in engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, SAP20000, RAM, ETabs, MicroStation, etc.)
  • Understands QA/QC procedures
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
  • Desire to work in both a collaborative & independent environment with the willingness to assist more senior staff
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software required
  • Participation in a professional engineering society/organization preferred
  • Ability to travel (~10% of the time, day trips)
