Job Overview

Komatsu is a leading manufacturer of construction, mining, forestry, and industrial heavy equipment and operates eleven Company Owned Dealerships in the Eastern United States. We currently have exciting opportunities for all levels of Service Technicians/Diesel Mechanics to work out of our Holbrook, NY branch. Operational knowledge and jobsite experience is a plus. It is a Monday thru Friday, day shift schedule. Pay is $40.31 to $55.40 per hour depending on experience.

We are offering a sign on bonus up to $10,000 for this position.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Provide maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of heavy construction equipment in the shop or field.
  • Document machine information and repairs in the work order system.
  • Maintain a clean work area and professional care of all machines, equipment, and shop tools.
  • Identify and communicate additional repair and maintenance opportunities to management to increase customer uptime.
  • Maintain technical and product knowledge on all equipment sold by the dealership.
  • Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training and meetings to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures while performing work assignments.
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer support.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED (General Education Degree), Technical School/Technical College or related work experience.
  • Proficiency in mechanical & electrical systems (engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical, emissions components).
  • Good computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Maintain a sufficient tool inventory to perform assigned tasks.
  • CDL is a plus, but not required.
