Description

Are you interested in joining one of the top companies within the Aerospace and Defense industry?

Do you have experience working in a stockroom, a warehouse, or in a logistics position?

If you answered yes to these questions, we encourage you to apply today!

Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work onsite with our customer in East Aurora as an Associate Logistics Technician.

Here's what you'd do:

  • Report to the Stockroom Supervisor along with the Stockroom Coordinator(s) and Packaging Clerk(s).
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate stock balances, issues and receive parts, verify cycle counts and error reconciliations in all stockrooms.
  • The incumbent is fully versed in and has knowledge of all transaction screens needed to perform verifications, corrections, kit issues, shop floor issues, shortages, receipts from the shop, receipt from Receiving Inspection, returns to stock, inter-stock transfers and spares shipments.
  • There are 32 transaction screens that could be used daily to perform the activities listed, therefore, a large part of the job is knowing how and when to use the appropriate transaction.
  • There is a high degree of accuracy needed because all parts are now, essentially, traceable by lot.
  • This demands that the stock clerk constantly be aware of the lot numbers that are being requested.
  • Keyboard accuracy is also highly important because we are working in an on-line, real-time environment where an error could be immediately accepted and processed.
  • The Stockroom Clerk may daily be asked to interface with Program Analysts, Engineers, Dispatch Personnel, Model Shop Expediters, Receiving Inspection Personnel, and Assembly and Test Personnel.
  • They will also train any new employees and may be asked to work in different stockrooms as the workload necessitates.
  • Practice proper packaging and handling techniques necessary to prevent damage to parts and finished goods and to prevent injury to the clerks
  • Identify or question any deviations to standard practices such as cure dates, packaging, and material handling.
  • Sign off on Certification Sheets on spare parts.
  • Stockroom housekeeping activities such as cleaning material handling pans, keeping the stockroom neat and orderly, consolidating inventory, and maintaining supplies will be needed.
