Position Summary

The NYU Student Health Center's Counseling and Wellness Services announces the availability of five postdoctoral psychology fellowships (appointment period: September 1 - August 31). Our clinic offers training with a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, social workers, psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, case managers, and nutritionists. We provide brief psychotherapy and group psychotherapy for a diverse population of undergraduate and graduate students from across the US and the world, as well as crisis intervention in our Wellness Exchange walk-in clinic. Postdocs also spend part of their time serving on one of three specialty clinical teams: Trauma, Eating Disorders, or Substance Use, all described in greater detail below. Opportunities may also be available for outreach events with the NYU community. Training includes: Weekly seminars, supervision, staff meetings, and case presentations.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Ph.D./Psy.D. in clinical or counseling psychology, or ABD (all but dissertation).

Required Experience:
Completion of APA Approved pre-doctoral internship.

Preferred Experience:
Experience in college mental health. Crisis intervention experience.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge and experience with assessment and treatment of serious mental illness.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $60,000.00 - $63,000.
