Hospital Specialty Representative - Northeast (NY, NJ, or MD)

Position Overview:

The Hospital Specialist Representative (HSR) for Laerdal Medical is responsible for expanding adoption of Laerdal solutions across hospital networks. The HSR must build sponsorship and demand with hospital executives and other decision makers within the acute care setting. The HSR role will require exceptional performance of all critical components of the sales process from account prospecting to facilitating appropriate transition of the post sales implementation and fulfillment process. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a history of successfully conveying complex clinical and technical information to a variety of individuals and roles within large organizations. Moreover, given the complex and cross-functional buying process, demonstrated performance in sales processes requiring active executive sponsorship and meaningful engagement with senior level decision makers is mandatory.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrated success utilizing the challenger sales model to build executive sponsorship and sell into the C-suite.
  • Proactively demonstrating to the customer the defined value of partnering with Laerdal.
  • Must be capable of creating a solid "Why Do Something," "Why Now," and "Why Laerdal."
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of hospital Quality, Nursing, and Education/training practice and/or workflow.
  • Expertly perform complex customer current needs assessment and create compelling future state business case to meet customer's strategic objectives/vision.
  • Demonstrate advance knowledge tailoring solutions to match unique business needs.
  • Lead all aspects of the sales cycle including account discovery, pipeline development, and executing new business; ensuring consistent and sustainable results and working collaboratively with all team members including partners such as RQI Partners.
  • Consistently utilize all available resources to execute the sales process.
  • Experienced communicator and collaborator with stakeholders (internal and external) to drive alignment; dynamic speaking skills and strong business writing skills required.
  • Demonstrate leadership, flexibility, and initiative in meeting internal/external customers' needs.
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks based on organizational needs and work
  • independently in remote office situations.
  • Effectively negotiate and collaborate with the customer to influence support and achieve consensus.
  • Build and sustain relationships founded on trust with internal and external customers and ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Identify and qualify new sales opportunities and develop strategy to introduce new solutions through collaborative relationships.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must reside in NY, NJ, or MD within a commutable distance to a major airport
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 5-7 years hospital sales experience
  • Software sales experience preferred
  • Experience with Simulation and/or training solutions preferred
  • Experience negotiating contract terms and conditions preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 60% of time
  • Proven product and software knowledge in hospitals
  • Requires excellent critical thinking, problem resolution abilities and strong technical skills.
  • Valid driver's license

Salary Range: $90,000 - $150,000, inclusive of additional variable plan associated with the sales region
