Summary

Performs Electrical Engineering tasks as required to support development projects, production programs and mature products. These tasks include, but are not limited to; providing hardware design sustaining engineering on products in production and legacy products, performing verification testing during environmental and EMI qual testing, transitioning development programs to production, investigate production test anomalies, directing Service Center technicians on customer returns, provide technical support to Business Development during trade shows and customer demonstrations, and assisting customers via telephone contact or on-site visits to resolve system related problems

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides technical support to Production personnel for release of new test programs and procedures (hardware and software). Assists in the transition from engineering to production test methods.
  • Coordinates operation, maintenance, and repair activities to obtain optimum utilization or equipment.
  • Plans and develops methods and procedures for testing products or systems.
  • Writes test reports.
  • Develops and debugs functional diagnostic test programs for production hardware.
  • Analyzes and interprets test data, and prepares technical reports for use by Engineering and Management personnel.
  • Assists with design of products and systems to interface hardware and software.
  • Develops and debugs functional diagnostic test programs for production hardware.
  • Directs and coordinates operation, equipment maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field installations.
  • Directs and coordinates field installation activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications.
  • Evaluates field installations and recommends design modifications.
  • Prepares engineering changes (PCN).
  • Supports specialized engineering groups, such as reliability, maintainability and quality, when appropriate.
  • Prepares status reports, as required.
  • Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
  • Helps to prepare training materials, specifications and other documents in response to project manager's requests.
  • Occasional travel requiring overnight stays may be required. Airline travel must be acceptable

Skills

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from a four-year college
  • 0-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • PC familiarity for access to the network, drafting records and purchasing system; use of the PCSs disk operating system (DOS); use of specialied PC software required by certain projects.
  • Ability to use standard electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, meters, counters, frequency meters, logic analyzers, etc.
  • Must have background that would permit the US Department of Defense to issue a Secret clearance when necessary for work on a project that requires such clearance.

Compensation and Benefits:

Benefits are available on the 1st of the month following date of hire. For some positions, only PTO and holiday benefits are offered.

Compensation ranges for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At TTM Technologies, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on each individual set of circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

$61,524 - $102,541

Additional compensation: An annual or quarterly company bonus may apply based on position assignment. Positions hired for alternative shift may be eligible for a shift premium based on the assigned shift and location.

Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition ofForeign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
