We are seeking an experienced Global Payroll Director to lead our global payroll operations, as a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for evaluating and optimizing existing payroll processes and vendors across multiple regions and ensuring compliance with local regulations.
The right candidate for this role needs to have extensive global experience in payroll process transformation to work on the design of our payroll strategy. You will need to have exceptional understanding of the end-to-end global payroll process lifecycle, high level of understanding of global payrolls and the related policies, tax expertise and compliance across regions.


Responsibilities

* Ability to work with program management team and other stakeholders as the central point of contact to plan and manage deliveries for business.
* Stakeholder management across levels both internal and third-party vendors
* Support the project manager and the teams through requirements gathering, design, execution and delivery of the future global payroll operating model.
* Applying subject expertise in evaluating business requirements against solutions being implemented
* Providing technical subject matter expertise by engaging with the key client stakeholders to understand business requirements, identify setup requirements and manage the successful implementation of vendor systems and services.
* Providing subject expertise and guidance to it developers during the software development life cycle
* Overseeing the development, testing, and implementation of technical solutions, determining whether technical solutions meet defined requirements.
* Documenting future processes for payroll team and disseminating information to all relevant stakeholders
* Understand cross functional impacts of certain configuration decisions/touch points, downstream impact of changes to the configuration, data, and integrations.
* Working with service delivery team to ensure a smooth transition from onboarding project to live operation. Payroll transition management to support an organization in transitioning to its future state model
* Develop and maintain trusted relationships across all impacted global product owners, delivery service owners, and all local country payroll teams (in scope) to ensure that impacts to upstream & downstream processes are fully understood and actively managed to ensure new payroll process design does not negatively impact pay delivery & accuracy.
* Update and evolve payroll M&A integration plan, tracking standard methodologies and lessons learned with a focus on continuous improvement
* Global partner and key point of contact with the business unit leadership and in other functions such as HR, tax, finance & legal to ensure critical activities are executed timely and successfully.
* Providing expert payroll M&A advice and able to influence, negotiate or challenge decisions and pathways of the M&A activity with senior leaders and executives.
* Work closely with external vendors and consultants involved in M&A activity.

Job Requirements

* Strong payroll background with extensive experience in leading global payroll operations/ consulting / payroll transformation (across NA/LATAM/EAME/GA) with strong experience of vendor implementation and transition management.
* Proven record of managing/supporting complex global payroll projects/ transformation programs with experience of working alongside both Payroll and IT professionals
* Experience in international/expat payrolls and equity compensation
* Understanding of payroll and related social security and tax withholding compliance obligations
* Excellent communication skills (with fluency in English).
* Experience working in a matrix environment.
* Extremely hands-on with the confidence to manage stakeholders and multi-disciplinary onsite and virtual teams.
* Ability to independently resolve complex problems where analysis requires the in-depth evaluation of numerous factors.
* Multi-country transformation and international cross-time zone working experience (statutory, regulatory, and cultural).
* FPC or CPP or similar payroll certification is a plus.
* System experience needed with payroll and HCM including SAP, SuccessFactors, Workday, Oracle, ADP.


Location: Ideally US based but flexible to one of the IFF sites globally.

Compensation ($202,000 - $228,000) is based on a variety of factors including but not limited to work experience, skills, certifications, and location.
