Product Manager - Diode Engineering Group


Job Description:

This role is instrumental in fueling the future growth of the Diode business. It is focused on the identification, definition, development and launch of new products for the Diode Engineering Group. The PM will work collaboratively with sales, product marketing, engineering, and other contributors to develop and maintain a set of product roadmaps. The PM will be responsible for the actualization of these roadmaps. The role will be both internally and externally focused, driving development, with external engagements and market research. The PM will bring to market products and solutions that are valued by our customers. Responsible for releasing "The Right" products to the right markets and customers at the right time.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in annual strategy plan which will determine the focus markets and types of capacitor products that we will develop.
    Using primary and secondary research define the market size and the appropriate TAM/SAM and competitive landscape.
  • Work collaboratively to develop the new product roadmaps which will enable our technology, product, and packaging strategies.
    Help to establish and maintain a Development Opportunity Funnel
  • Generate opportunity assessments which will detail the product description, value proposition, financial analysis, details of the market, competition, and justification for the development will be included.
  • The Product Manager will conduct the New Product Development Kick -off meeting presenting the detailed Product requirements working closely with engineering, sales, quality, operations, and applications to conduct a comprehensive kickoff meeting.
  • The Product Manager will be an active participant in the NPD process by providing the continued Voice of the Customer (VOC).
  • Working with Design and Project Management to ensure developments are on schedule to deliver the product to defined specifications.
  • The PM will provide leadership, working with our internal partners to meet revenue and customer commitments. This includes Design, Product Engineering, Quality, Reliability, Planning, Applications, Sales, and Supply Chain.

Qualifications:

  • BSEE
  • 10+ years related work experience and/or substantial product management experience in the semiconductor industry.
  • US permanent resident or US citizen required due to ITAR restrictions.
