GLG's Private Equity Research business supports Private Equity investors by providing them with the insights that they need to handle the critical decisions throughout the investment lifecycle including due diligence, value creation and portfolio support. Our work includes market assessments, commercial due diligence, voice-of-the-customer studies, and competitive positioning evaluations. The Private Equity Research team is seeking a Project Specialist to help continue to support client engagements across industries and disciplines.

Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Project Execution

  • Support project execution from scoping to delivery including:
    • Project scoping and design
    • Proposal development and client alignment
    • Project team prep and resourcing
    • Internal GLG stakeholder management and problem solving
    • Project management and deliverable quality control
    • Managing client interactions including check-ins and project readouts
  • Project Specialists are expected to be solution and results oriented - effectively partnering with Managers to solve issues and implement solutions

Stakeholder Management:

  • Support research project collaborators to ensure timely and effective delivery of necessary research components
  • Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, including: Legal and Compliance to manage contracting and scope implementation; Client Solutions to identify potential opportunities for further product support; and Business Development to support the client relationship throughout the life cycle
  • Build lasting relationships with our Project Leads and Network Members

Internal initiatives:

  • Lead and/or participate in internal initiatives related to go-to-market strategy and system or process improvement

An ideal candidate will have the following:

  • 2 years of management consulting experience
  • Strong project management skills are required
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills to work with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Solid computer skills, i.e., Microsoft Office
  • Must be a team player with an ability to cross functionally collaborate
  • Experience supporting Private Equity clients is a plus
  • Must be entrepreneurial with a deep excitement to grow the business
  • Think creatively and focus on opportunities for growth
  • A strong and constant attention to detail is required

Working Environment: Flexible / Hybrid working arrangements typically requiring 2 days per week in office.

Compensation: GLG is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Actual compensation is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. Certain roles may also be eligible for incentive compensation.

The anticipated hiring base salary range for this role is:
$89,400-$90,000 USD
