Dewberry is currently seeking a Structural Engineer to perform structural design and calculations on several types of non-bridge structures (buildings, stations, flood walls, facilities, etc.) in our New York City office. Responsibilities
    Lead production of structural models, calculations, drawings and reports.
  • Assign tasks to and coordinates with other engineers and technicians.
  • Perform field investigations and provide report of findings.
  • Review shop drawings and response to RFIs from contractor.
  • Attend meetings with client, contractor or other design partners.
  • Coordinate structural design with work of other disciplines (Architectural, MEP, Geotechnical, etc.).
  • Assist with proposals and project planning.
Required Skills & Required Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with concentration on Structural, Master's degree in Structural Engineering will be a plus.
  • Minimum 4 years of design experience with building type of structures.
  • PE license is required.
  • Working knowledge of Building Codes including IBC, ASCE7, AISC and ACI.
  • Working knowledge of at least one structural analysis/design software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD Pro, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of structural design and using steel, concrete and masonry materials.
  • Working knowledge of CAD programs (AutoCAD and/or Microstation).
  • Knowledge of Revit is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) is required.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines is essential.
  • Must be a self-motivated with initiative, drive and determination.
  • Proficiency in MS Office is required.
  • A clean driving record is required.

Salary Range

The projected range for this position is $105,000-$140,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly. These ranges are for NY only.
