Job Description

The Role -

Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking a Test Lab Technician to work out of its state-of-the-art facility in Sidney, NY.

The key responsibilities of this Test Lab Technician include, but are not limited to:

Employee sets up and operates test equipment and uses physical gages available in the laboratory. Works multiple test assignments concurrently. Works with Quality, Inspection, Manufacturing and Engineering. Performing various electrical, mechanical and environmental tests including but limited to:

  • Routine mechanical and electrical tests on electrical assemblies and connector products.
  • Records data analyzes data and writes Technical Memos and formal Engineering Reports.
  • Performs electrical tests on high frequency connectors and devices.

Salary $45,500 - $65,000

Location -

  • Sidney, NY
  • 30 Minute Drive from Binghamton, NY
  • 20 Minute Drive from Oneonta, NY

The Person -

The key skills and qualities of a Test Lab Technician at Amphenol Aerospace Operations:

  • High School diploma or equivalent education and work experience.
  • Ability to solve problems and notice minor changes in test samples.
  • Must have basic understanding of electrical and mechanical principles explicitly Ohms Law.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office tools, specifically Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Experience with programming automatic test equipment is a plus.
  • Job requires movement between test equipment. Some minor lifting is required.
