This position sits at the intersection of technology and the business, enabling them to leverage their dual expertise to solve complex problems, allowing them to navigate the ever-changing landscape of technology and drive innovation.

The individual in this position should excel in fostering a collaborative environment across teams within the organization. In addition, this individual should be someone who is capable of thinking outside of the box to provide solutions to meet business needs.

This is a hybrid position available for New York City or Jersey City, NJ.

What you will do for C&F:

    Review each solution for impact on other systems, reports
  • Identifies and prioritizes opportunities for improvements to workflows and technology
  • Recommends and drives process improvements; Lead problem solving sessions with cross-functional groups to design streamlined workflows.
  • Partner closely with business partners to ensure quality and consistency when new systems or enhancements are launched
  • Provides thorough analysis of issues, determines and communicates solutions
  • Has a thorough understanding and conveys the product requirements for enhancements and new development to developers, analysts, and pertinent IT Staff
  • Assist in the coordination and facilitation with all stakeholders, decision makers, systems owners, and end users, to define business, financial, and operational requirements, systems goals, and reporting needs. Must also be able identify and resolve systems issues and risks
  • Work with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
  • Work with software developers to analyze, design, and implement solutions that meet business needs
  • Collaborate with the technical team members and stakeholders for the mapping, analysis, and documentation of business projects and processes
  • Documenting of existing applications design
  • Create project plans, manage timelines, and ensure successful delivery
  • Adhere to project timelines
  • Other duties as assigned

What you will bring to C&F:

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or 5+ years of equivalent experience related to Commercial P&C Insurance within an IT organization
  • Proven experience in Business Analysis and/or Systems Analysis
  • Constant pursuit in the application of existing and emerging business analysis techniques to provide an ever evolving, more proficient process
  • Some experience with Testing is preferred, but not required
  • Strong communication skills, both written an oral
  • The ability to apply critical thinking to drive solutions
  • Can positively contribute towards large, complex problems with others in the organization. "Cannot be done" is not in the playbook.
  • Not afraid to think "out of the box"
  • A strong understanding of technology and business needs
  • Ability to work alongside other Business Analysts, Developers ,and Quality Assurance Analysts on system implementations and integration efforts
  • Familiarity with computer programming
  • Solid working knowledge of SQL
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools - Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Proficient in the use of JIRA and Confluence
  • Practical experience with project leadership
  • Experience with all aspects of various SDLC methodologies
  • Excellent troubleshooting capabilities, demonstrating a logical thought process even when unfamiliar with the technology or business app
  • Ability and desire to learn new techniques and technologies in an ever changing environment
  • Ability to focus a team on just the defined requirements, and avoid the ever present "Scope" creep that often causes project bleed

Salary ranges are available for all positions at this location, taking into account roles with a comparable level of responsibility and impact in the relevant labor market and these salary ranges are regularly reviewed and adjusted in accordance with prevailing market conditions. The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $100,000.00 to a maximum of $125,000.00. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee's contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range. You may also have the opportunity to participate in discretionary equity (stock) based compensation and/or performance-based variable pay programs.
