Overview

The Cloud Data Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data integration and data warehousing solutions on the Azure platform as well as other software platforms. They are expert problem solvers with extensive programming skills, with abilities in multiple coding languages and frameworks. This position will work side by side with the Integration Architect to develop new applications and support scalability projects that drive the business forward. In addition to working on mission-critical and time-sensitive projects, the Cloud Data Developer will provide support for user requests and current production processes. They will also participate in meetings with management and business owners to discuss project status and requirements. The Data Developer will follow the provided architect guidelines, team standards, and industry standards to develop, test, and support solutions.

Qualifications
  • Associates degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred. An additional two (2) years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Three (3) years of experience with object-oriented programming, API development, SQL databases including writing and refining queries and/or Microservices required.
  • Experience with cloud technologies, Microsoft Azure, and Power Platform including Azure Data Factory, Azure Dev Ops, CI/CD pipelines, and Synapse preferred.
  • Experience working in an agile environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with ITIL standards and IT/Cloud Security compliance standards and practices.

Essential Accountabilities
  • Assist with the design, development, and implementation of end-to-end data integration solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, design data models, and develop data pipelines for efficient data processing and analysis.
  • Develop ETL/ELT workflows, data ingestion processes, and data transformation activities using ADF/Synapse pipelines and activities. Implement processes and logic to extract, transform, and distribute data across one or more data stores from a wide variety of sources.
  • Work with the organization's information risk organization (IRO) to implement data security and access controls to protect sensitive data in compliance with organizational and industry standards.
  • Optimize data processing and storage in Azure Data Warehouse and Data Lakes, ensuring high performance and scalability.
  • Perform all levels of data quality checks, data validation, and data profiling to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data integration and data warehousing solutions, identifying, and resolving performance issues and bottlenecks.
  • Design, provisioning, automation, implementation, alerting, and ongoing maintenance of cloud solutions and projects critical to PBD systems.
  • Stay updated with the latest Azure Data Engineering trends, best practices, and technologies, and provide recommendations for process improvements and tool enhancements.
  • Document technical specifications, data flows, and solution designs to ensure effective knowledge transfer and maintainable solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance to team members, sharing expertise in Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse Analytics.

Hiring Compensation Range: $85,000 - $115,000 annually

Compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to skills, education, location and experience.

In addition to base compensation, associates may be eligible for a scorecard incentive, full range of benefits and generous paid time off. The base salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
