Job Description

The Office of Community Outreach and Engagement (COE) at the Hervert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center works with communities to remove access barriers to cancer prevention, screening and survivorship services in order to reduce the cancer burden and cancer health disparities in the Cancer Center's Catchment area. COE is looking for a data analyst who will support research projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Main responsibilites will be updating cancer and demographic data and cancer center catchment, working on evaluation methods.
  • Work closely with the Clinical Informatics department staff on anaylses to support HICCC research.
  • Specific analyses support monitoring the cancer buden, demographic data, and screening behaviors
  • Participate in data collection and maintain study specific databases to house data
  • Create figures, maps and charts for presentations and publications
  • Communicate frequently with COE leadership and work on data requests from HICCC faculty
  • Other related activities

Minimum Degree Required

  • Bachelor's degree in specific research field and 4-6 years experience.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience in efficiently overseeing technical staff
  • Experience in staff recruitment and training
  • Work independently and collaborate with leadership to implement novel concepts, methods, and broad impact of the core
