Wilson Elser's New York City office seeks a Senior Tax Accountant.

The Position
Qualifications

• CPA or Master's degree in Accounting preferred
• Experience in a CPA Firm with 5+ years working primarily on business tax returns
• Understanding of Partnership tax accounting and Form 1065
• Experience working with partnerships with tax presence in many states
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare property tax returns as required for the Firm's various offices
• Prepare local revenue, Unincorporated Business Tax, sales/use and commercial rent tax filings
• Prepare all annual US Commerce required survey filings
• Coordinate the annual partner participation in composite tax filings
• Prepare the Firm's annual M-1 book-to- tax reconciliation
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of Firm 1099 Forms
• Deliver K-1 forms to partners promptly, and respond to inquiries from partners in a timely manner
• Gather records and work with CPA on any tax examinations and audits

The annualized salary range for this position is $120,000-$130,000.Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
