Job Description
ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE
BUSINESS: Aerospace & Defense (A&D)
LOCATION: Hauppauge
DIRECT REPORTING: Manufacturing Supervisor
FUNCTIONAL REPORTING: Manufacturing
Principal Activities
- Operates and maintains manual lathe and milling machines and CNC mill.
- Must be proficient in setup in CNC Mill.
- Preferred proficient in CNC programming and modification of existing programs.
- Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints or samples to ensure accurate production.
- Takes precise measurements for cutting or shaping.
- Selects appropriate machine and settings for a given task.
- Plans proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment.
- Monitors production, adjusting feed and other settings as necessary.
- Checks output for quality assurance and documents or discards defects.
- Identifies need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs.
- Maintains a safe and clean workstation.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Job Requirements:
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
- Excellent coordination and mechanical skills
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in math
- Basic computer skills
Education and Experience :
- High school degree or equivalent
- Minimum 5-10 years experience working with machine tools, both manual and CNC
- Working knowledge of safety protocols
- Apprenticeship or vocational training preferred

PAY RANGE: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
- Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience
