Our team in Moog Construction is looking for an Embedded Software Controls Design Engineer to join them. You will report to the Manager, Engineering at our Buffalo, New York location. You will develop control software using industry-standard packages for the real-time control of mobile machinery. You will design and develop embedded software that controls mobile machinery. You will work with cutting-edge hardware and components in the design and development of architectures that power the next generation of mobile machinery.
To be considered for an Embedded Software Controls Design Engineer, here's what you'll need to bring with you:Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering discipline (software/computer engineering) or related degree.
Five (5) years' relevant technical experience.
Experience in C++ and Python.
Good computer science fundamentals, such as data structures, concurrency, algorithm design, multi-threading, and distributed systems.
Understanding of operating system internals, such as kernel and driver architectures.
Experience with real-time operating systems and real-time applications.
Experience in Linux with an understanding of both concurrency and architecture.
Good code habits including version control, testing, and adherence to coding guidelines.
Experience developing industrial control software in embedded real time software.
Design, code, test, and maintain control software for mobile machinery.
Work with team members to determine system/software requirements that provide value.
Collaborate with hardware and software engineers during the definition, design and verification phases.
Design and develop software using development best practices, including continuous software integration and test.
Utilize novel software technologies for real-time controls.
Help shape both core technology and team culture.

The base pay range for this opportunity is $80,000 - $129,000 per year
