We are excited to add a Strategic Contract Manager to our market access team! The position will pay between $161k-268k plus bonus based on previous relevant experience, educational credentials, and location.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Will engage in the negotiation, implementation, and management of regional integrated delivery networks (IDN) and hospital contracts utilizing our group purchasing organization (GPO) agreements. Develop growth strategies using national GPO contracts to maximize product utilization. Day-to-day responsibilities will include strategic evaluations, planning, execution, and market expansion activities with field sales team. Actively monitor compliance, analyze performance and the competition, and suggest strategic changes as appropriate in order to ensure continued growth of the company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive growth, compliance and implementation of national and/or regional hospital contracts
  • Lead strategies that maximize contract growth with field sales management team and ensure contract compliance
  • Conduct business reviews at the integrated delivery network (IDN) and hospital level with materials management and executives to obtain optimal contract results
  • Identify new markets/contract opportunities and build strategies to capitalize on them
  • Monitor market trends to keep on top of business developments and assist management in developing a strategy for execution
  • Analyze, track and measure contract performance to gauge whether the company is adequately leveraging its business advantage
  • Act as liaison between regional IDN personnel and company sales team

      EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

      • BS/BA in related discipline
      • 5+ years of experience in related field with 5-7 years of progressively responsible positions, or verifiable ability. Certification required in some areas

      OR

      • MS/MA and 5-7 years of experience in related field. Certification is required in some areas
      • Prefer 15 years in the healthcare field
      • Prefer 5 years of IDN/national account sales experience

      SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

      • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
      • Ability to interact with all levels of management, both internal and external, third party payers, and customers
      • Ability to influence others to achieve desired results using tenacity and diplomacy
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
      • Organized, flexible, and able to multi-task while maintaining a high level of efficiency and attention to detail
      • Strong analytical skills, clinical interests, strategic and technical analysis and problem solving skills
      • Excellent negotiation and assessment skills

      WORK ENVIRONMENT:

      Work is performed both at customer site or home office environment. Requires 50% to 75% travel.
