Job Description

Shutterstock, Inc. seeks a Software Engineer II in New York, NY to contribute to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance of libraries/tools/services owned by the Analytics Enablement team (such as front-end data collection tools, schema management and validation tools, tag management systems, cookie consent management solution). Requires a Master's degree in Information Science, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent and two (2) years of experience applying SOA architectures to distributed and high trafficked systems; developing software system testing and validation procedures by building event-driven and message-driven architectures using RabbitMQ and Kafka; working in an Agile environment to coordinate software system installation and continuous integration and delivery; working with data structures, algorithms, problem solving, Object-Oriented Design, and systems architecture; coordinating implementation of 3rd party integrations; participating in scoping out technical solutions; implementing and maintaining system features in order to solve scoped problems; contributing to all aspects of the e-commerce software development lifecycle including design, implementation, code reviews, testing, deployment, and support of software services and libraries used for analytics data collection on e-commerce web applications; implementing and maintaining Google Analytics tracking via Google Tag Manager; implementing and maintaining marketing tags on all web applications using Google Tag Manager, including Google Ads; and utilizing GO, Javascript/Typescript, Scala, PHP, C/C++, Rust, HTML, Java, CSS, Ruby, Node JS, RDBMS, SOA, and event-driven architectures. *Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies.* NO CALLS PLEASE.

Salary range: $147,900.00 - $184,000.00/year
