Acara Solutions is seeking an Accounting Manager for an established legal firm in Syracuse NY.
Salary for this position is up to $90k/year
Hybrid Work Schedule
- Oversee and manage the accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger and accounting system groups (7 direct reports)
- Assists controller with advising staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions.
- Review and approve journal entries, invoices, daily check run and general ledger account reconciliations.
- Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.
- Support the accounting department with special projects and workflow process improvements.
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree, Accounting
- Minimum 5 years transactional accounting experience
- Minimum 2 years of direct people management experience
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Aderant software experience preferred
- Legal industry experience preferred
- Accounting system implementation experience preferred
