Billing Specialist

Acara Solutions is seeking a Billing Associate to work with our client in Syracuse, NY. This is a direct hire opportunity.
Pay Rate: 20-22/hr. DOE
Job Duties:
- Responsible for accurate data entry of resident insurance information
- Review of resident face sheet and make corrections if needed
- Verify and change any financial pay statuses
- Provide customer service and problem resolution
- Correct necessary data
- Identify errors that caused claim denial
- Re-bill claims as needed
- Interact with internal employees and various agencies
- Assist in overall automation of billing procedures
- Assist in end of month bill processes
- Visit clients and go over billing statements
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of previous work experience in a retail, pharmacy, data entry, or related position
- 1 year of medical billing experience
- 1 year experience with Microsoft Office
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Previous knowledge of health insurance such as Medicare, Medicaid, or private insurance groups.
- Strong communication skills
- High attention to detail.
Other Information:
- Direct Hire Opportunity
- Salary is dependent on experience
- Must be available for one weekend every 4-6 weeks
- Schedule is a retail work schedule between hours of 8am - 8pm.
