Acara Solutions is seeking a Payroll Manager for our client in West Seneca, NY! In this role, you will manage a payroll team who provide payroll processing functionalities for Canadian & US Operations.

We are seeking qualified candidates with:

  • Knowledge of payroll regulations in multiple states (& Canada preferred)
  • Experience in ADP Workforce Now & Time and Attendance system
  • Supervisory experience

Here's what you'll do:


  • Supervise the processing of weekly/bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff in both Canada and the United States.
  • Accurately complete all Canadian and US compliance reporting and statutory remittances/taxes, including responding to payroll-related inquiries.
  • Manage team's maintenance of payroll master files and ADP payroll configurations.
  • Prepare internal working papers to support month-end and year-end reporting.
  • Manage acquisition onboarding and registering different accounts for new jurisdictions across Canada and the US.
  • Ensure payroll function alignment with organizational changes (e.g. legal entity structure changes, bank institution changes).
  • Prepare payroll reporting to a variety of internal stakeholders in the organization.


Type: Direct Placement

Pay: Up to $85K/yr. **Depending on experience

Hours: M-F 1st shift hours **WFH on Fridays

Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:


  • Associate's Degree in Business, Finance or related field.
  • 10+ years' payroll experience, including demonstrated knowledge in ADP Workforce Now.
  • 5+ years' supervisory experience.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • PCP or CPM preferred.
  • Knowledge of payroll regulations in Canada & the US.
