Acara Solutions is looking for a Project Coordinator for an exciting opportunity with one of our clients in Williamsville, NY!
  • Duration: 6month contract
  • Location: Hybrid - remote, onsite, and offsite
  • Pay: $20-22/hr
  • Hours: Regular business hours with evening/weekend hours for events
Overview:
The Project Coordinator shall be responsible for assisting with coordinating and developing large scale, highly visible community health and wellness events and programs. The Project Coordinator is also responsible for assisting the team with developing program curriculums that engage and empower underserved and at-risk populations and securing partnership opportunities that provide resources for families to adopt healthier lifestyles. The project coordinator should exhibit passion for community work and be dedicated to making a change in the community.

Essential Accountabilities
  • Communicate consistently with school coordinators through email newsletters, direct messaging, phone calls, emails, etc.
  • Ensure delivery and assist with execution of Kids Run at School events
  • Enter data and track monthly student participation.
  • Evaluate overall participation to rank schools into award categories
  • Coordinate with schools to distribute funding/order equipment
  • Secure W-9 forms/appropriate paperwork to submit check requests to finance
  • Work with manager to develop strategy to recruit new schools/additional classrooms for upcoming school year
  • Build classroom materials/curriculum, create a kit to send to each participating classroom
  • Research and order appropriate student monthly prizes
  • Coordinate delivery of kits and monthly materials to schools
  • Launch program and onboard new and existing schools in September
  • Update website with new materials for school year
  • Problem solve with new schools/coordinators to ensure participation
  • Implement end of year coordinator survey, evaluate results and implement appropriate changes
  • Work with marketing/PR department to create materials as needed
  • Assist with any additional Foundation duties as needed
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • At least 1 year of experience with project coordination, marketing, administrative office coordination
  • PC and Windows skills required. Advanced Microsoft Office skills required
  • Ability to create advertising and promotional materials and promote programming successfully via social media platforms;

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Associates degree preferred
  • Special events planning and/or community relations preferred. Background in Non-profit organization desired
  • Ability to work with internal and external customers with tact, respect and confidence while understanding their needs
  • Photo Shop/Adobe Illustrator experience desired.
