Here's what you'd do:

  • We are seeking an ambitious software engineering professional to join our leadership team.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for coaching, supporting, training, and motivating team members to ensure a high level of performance.
  • This position will be responsible for personnel management of a software team including performance assessment, career development guidance, program assignments, merit and salary actions, training plans, staffing, and recruiting.
  • This role is anticipated to be 75% performing in a technical role and 25% coverage performing the duties associated with this position.

  • Defining team roles and responsibilities ensuring expectations are clear
  • Establishing performance standards and evaluating performance
  • Supporting engineers in meeting their commitments

  • Providing career advice, guidance, and supporting growth development plans
  • Securing next assignment opportunities for your team
  • Leading/supporting technical reviews and guidance as needed
  • Enforcing the software development process
  • Mentoring team members
  • Ensuring team members have the adequate resources to perform their job
  • Serving as a channel for company communications
  • The position is essentially a lead software engineer with supervisor duties.
  • Administering company policies and practices
  • Collaborating with peers and direct management in resource planning and hiring activities

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $117,900 - $147,400 / year.

Hours: 9/80 hrs/Week

Length: Direct Placement

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience
  • Active Secret DoD Clearance
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Supporting military or defense programs
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in The software development lifecycle
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Earned value management systems to manage a team's cost and schedule performance
  • Minimum 10 years of software development experience
  • Experience with Java, Python, C++, C#

  • Experience in an Agile/SAFe leadership role (Scrum Master, Product Owner, Release Train Engineer)
