Job Title:Manufacturing Shift Leader

Summary:The Momentive Continuous Shift Leader will direct team of operators to meet EHS, Quality, Service, Schedule Attainment and Productivity goals for the selected operating area. Will lead and assist in daily operations, training/development, coaching, performance feedback, production scheduling, productivity, project implementation, and communications with business leadership and employees. Responsible for setting clear expectations of team and driving the accountability required. Will also have plantwide Brigade/Emergency response responsibilities. Key accountabilities are EHS performance, schedule attainment, work force development and productivity, and involvement/impact in areas outside normal areas of responsibility (completing projects, participating in plant wide efforts, driving key initiatives and translating to other areas).

Responsibilities Include:

Leadership:

* Champion for comprehensive EHS compliance, including Safe Work Permit proficiency, Air/Water/Waste compliance, RCRA inspections, and support of all regulatory audits.

* Leadership of 5S initiatives throughout area, championing key projects across shifts.

* Responsible for setting clear expectations of production team, driving required accountability to deliver quality products.

* Site Brigade & Emergency Response team membership, developing towards a Brigade Leadership role.

* Responsible for all aspects of Training for their team, including process training, development coaching, performance feedback and accountability.

* Provide cross-functional support for Shift Leaders in other production areas

Communication & Reporting:

* Requires timely and comprehensive daily communication between Shift Leaders and Shifts, utilizing Management Operating Systems tools (Shift exchange, "Tiered" meeting structure, Team Guru, etc.)

* Implement Key Performance Indicator (KPI) tracking for your shift to define and track execution and support escalation of exceptions.

* Ability to clearly communicate objectives & deliverables with employees, peers and business leadership via verbal, written, and presentation media.

Strategy & Execution:

* Key contributor to the development and execution of the annual Area Safety Plan, leading critical sub-components and EHS initiatives.

* Utilize Goal and Objective setting tools/processes (Workday) to plan and prioritize short- and long-term deliverables that meet department and site strategic objectives.

* Champion Waterford Site Transformation and contribute to and/or lead Transformation and Decommissioning project efforts.

* Accountable for key production performance indicators for their shift, including schedule attainment, POTIF, OEE & Right First Time. Able to promptly elevate exceptions and drive corrective actions.

* Responsible for production/maintenance schedule attainment, productivity & cost-out, project implementation, area housekeeping, and communications with business leadership and employees.

* Develop technical knowledge and progress towards process system certification in assigned Operating areas.

* Assure production quality requirements are met through both leadership and coaching of operations, as well as engagement with Quality Area Reviews (QAR) and Quality Incident Reviews (QIR)/RCCAs.

Employee Engagement:

* Coordinate with Maintenance leadership to set priorities and assign work for Operating Mechanics (OM's)

* Responsible for adherence to / enforcement of the Momentive Employee Code of Conduct.

Qualifications:

The following are required for the role

  • High school degree

  • > 3 years of manufacturing experience

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and lead teams

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Excellent communications skills

The following are preferred for the role

  • Associate's degree

  • > 5 years of personnel management experience

  • Chemical operations experience

  • Experience with SAP transactions

  • Process troubleshooting knowledge

What We Offer:Base Pay Range: $84,500.00 - $123,750.00

The actual salary offered is determined by factors including but not limited to education, experience, skill sets, and geography. Additionally, this role is eligible for incentive or sales variable compensation payments. The amount of these incentives is based on the terms of the Company's incentive plans, the Company's financial performance, and/or individual employee job performance.
